Welcome to Culture Wars in Rome

Culture Wars is a three-credit upper dividion humanities course (HUEN 3700) offered through the Herbst Program of Humanities in the College of Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. 2010 will be our sixth year, and we have taken an averge of 25 good students in each of the last five years. Students come from all colleges at CU, with most coming from the College of Engineering and the College of Arts and Sciences.

In addition to two full weeks in Rome, we have four classes in Boulder in March and April. All classes in Rome meet on the historic sites in the city (or selected nearby towns); there is no classroom. Final projects are due on July 1.

For further informaton, see The Basics or contact Wayne Ambler (wayne.ambler@colorado.edu).

See also CU-Boulder Study Abroad Programs, which joins in sponsoring this course.

To apply for the course, you must visit the Study Abroad Office. And to visit the office , you must first find it! Here is a clue: It is located in the Environmental Design Building, almost opposite the new ATLAS building. See MAP.
